٧٧٨ ـ إسماعيل بن محمد بن قلاوون الصالحى، السلطان الملك الصالح، بن السلطان الملك الناصر، بن السلطان الملك المنصور: صاحب مصر وغيرها من البلاد الشامية والحجازية. ذكرناه فى هذا الكتاب، لما صنع فى أيامه من المآثر بمكة، وهى عمارة أماكن بالمسجد الحرام. واسمه مكتوب على باب رباط السدرة. ولى السلطنة بعد خلع أخيه الناصر أحمد، الذى كان بالكرك فى المحرم سنة ثلاث وأربعين وسبعمائة، واستمر حتى مات فى أوائل ربيع الآخر من سنة ست وأربعين وسبعمائة، وكان من خيار الملوك. وله مآثر حسنة. منها: أنه وقف قرية بطرف القليوبية من ديار مصر، على كسوة الكعبة كل سنة. وله وقف على دروس وطلبة فى قبة جده المنصور بالقاهرة.
