٥٧٠ ـ أحمد بن عبد الله بن قنبل، وقنبل: بضم القاف، ثم نون ثم باء موحدة ولام، أبو سعيد المكى: من قدماء أصحاب الشافعى، روى عن الإمام الشافعى بيتين من شعره. وروى عنه أبو الوليد بن أبى الجارود، وابن أبى الدنيا عن الشافعى، بيتين له، وهما [من الطويل]: أرى النفس منى قد تتوق إلى مصر ... ومن دونها أرض المهامة والقفر فو الله ما أدرى أساق إلى الفنا ... إليها فأحيا أم أساق إلى قبر قال أبو سعيد: فسيق والله إليهما جميعا. ذكره القطب الحلبى فى تاريخ مصر، هكذا، وقال: ذكره الأموى.
