٥٥٥ ـ أحمد بن سليمان بن سلامة المكى: كان من أعيان أهل مكة. وزر للشريف ثقبة بن رميثة صاحب مكة ثم للشريف أحمد بن عجلان، من حين ولايته فى سنة اثنتين وستين وسبعمائة، حتى مات. وكان معظما عنده وعند ثقبة أيضا، وعند الناس، وفيه قوة نفس وشهامة ومروءة، وهو الذى تولى عمارة المدرسة الأفضلية بمكة. وتوفى فى يوم النحر عاشر ذى الحجة سنة سبع وسبعين وسبعمائة بمكة، ودفن بالمعلاة.
