٥١٧ ـ أحمد بن أحمد المازنى الواسطى: سمع على الرضى الطبرى: جامع الترمذى بمكة، وعلى صفى الدين السلامى: مشارق الأنوار للصغانى، بقراءة الجمال المطرى، سنة أربع عشرة وسبعمائة بالمدينة. وجاور بمكةأكثر من عشر سنين، مجتهدا فى العبادة والاستكثار من فعل الخير، مع العفاف والقناعة، حتى أدركه أجله، فى سابع عشر رمضان سنة ثلاث وعشرين وسبعمائة. كتبت هذه الترجمة من تاريخ الحافظ علم الدين البرزالى.
