٤٨٥ ـ محمد بن يزيد بن خنيس المخزومى، مولاهم، أبو عبد الله المكى: روى عن أبيه، وسعيد بن حسان المخزومى، وابن جريج، وعبد العزيز بن أبى رواد، وسفيان الثورى وجماعة.روى عنه أحمد بن الفرات، وحنبل بن إسحاق، وعبد بن حميد، ومحمد بن سليمان الباغندى، وأبو يحيى بن أبى مسرة، وأبو حاتم. وقال: كان شيخا صالحا، كتبنا عنه بمكة، وكان ممتنعا من التحديث، أدخلنى عليه ابنه. وذكره ابن حبان فى الثقات، وقال: كان من خيار الناس، ربما أخطأ، يجب أن يعتبر بحديثه إذا بين السماع فى خبره. روى له الترمذى وابن ماجة.
