٤١٢ ـ محمد بن محمد بن عثمان بن الصفى الطبرى المكى ـ أخو الرضى السابق ـ يلقب بالصفى: سمع من جده عثمان [ .................................................... ] (١) توفى فى أثناء عشر الستين وسبعمائة، على ما وجدت بخط شيخنا ابن سكر. انتهى. وسبب موته: أن بعض من يعاشره، جب ذكره فى داره وأغلقها عليه، قاتله الله، وخفى أمره إلى أن ظهرت رائحة كريهة من داره التى قتل فيها، فتسور عليه منها، فوجد قتيلا، وقد أنتن، فغسل وكفن وصلى عليه ودفن بالمعلاة. سامحه الله تعالى. ولهما أخ اسمه أحمد ما عرفت شيئا من حاله، سوى أنه سمع من جده عثمان بن الصفى.
