٣٢٧ ـ محمد بن على بن أبى عبد الله محمد بن محمد بن عبد الرحمن الحسنى، الفاسى، المكى، يلقب بالمحب وبالجمال: سمع من إبراهيم بن النحاس الدمشقى، والحافظ العلائى بمكة. وعلى غير واحد من شيوخهما، منهم: عثمان بن الصفى، والشيخ خليل المالكى، وتفقه عليه وتميز ـ على ما ذكر لى شيخنا الشريف عبد الرحمن الفاسى ـ وذكر أنه كان كريما، ذا مكارم وإحسان إلى الفقراء، مع التفقد لأحوالهم. وباشر فى الحرم نيابة عن أبيه، حتى توفى فى شوال سنة ثلاث وستين وسبعمائة بمكة، عن أربع وعشرين سنة. وسبب موته ـ على ما قيل ـ: إنه شرب شيئا وضع له فى ماء وهو لا يشعر.
