٢٣٧ ـ محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن مقبل العجيبى، أبو عبد الله المكى: سمع من يونس الهاشمى: صحيح البخارى، ومن زاهر بن رستم، ومن أبى الفتوح الحصرى: مسند الشافعى، وحدث. سمع منه: أبو محمد عبد الله بن عبد العزيز المهدوى. وأجاز لفاطمة بنت القطب القسطلانى وإخوتها باستدعاء أبيهم، فى استدعاء مؤرخ بذى القعدة سنة ثلاث وأربعين وستمائة، فاستقدنا من هذا حياته فى هذا التاريخ. والعجيبى: بجيم وياء مثناة من تحت وياء موحدة وباء للنسبة. وسمع منه الحافظ الدمياطى بمكة، ووصفه بالفقيه. وكان حج الدمياطى هذا التاريخ، عام ثلاث وأربعين.
