٢٠٨ ـ محمد بن عبد الله بن جحش بن رئاب الأسدى، أسد خزيمة: ولد قبل الهجرة بخمس سنين على ما قال الواقدى، وهاجر مع أبيه إلى الحبشة، ثم إلى المدينة وأوصى به النبى ﷺ، فاشترى له مالا بخيبر، وأقطعه دارا بسوق الرقيق بالمدينة. وروى عنه وعن عمتيه: حمنة بنت جحش، وزينب بنت جحش، وعائشة الصديقة. وروى عنه ابنه إبراهيم، والمعلى بن عرفان وغيرهما، روى له أحمد والنسائى، وابن ماجة، قال المزى: مختلف فى صحبته. ومن حديثه: «أن المؤمن لا يدخل الجنة، وإن رزق الشهادة، حتى يقضى دينه» (١)، وبنو جحش حلفاء بنى عبد شمس، وقيل: حلفاء حرب بن أمية.
