١٧٦ ـ محمد بن زيد أبو عبد الله المكى. هكذا ذكره ابن حبان فى الطبقة الثالثة من الثقات. وقال: يروى عن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خيثم. وقد سمع عبد الله أبا الطفيل. روى عن ابن أبى فديك. انتهى. وقال الذهبى فى اختصار التهذيب: محمد بن أبى الصيف زيد، مولى بنى مخزوم، مكى، عن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خيثم، وابن أبى نجيح وجماعة. وعنه: محمد بن ميمون الخياط، وبكر بن خلف، ختن المقرى، انتهى.
