سرية اليمن وبعث قيس بن سعد بن عبادة إلى ناحية اليمن فى أربعمائة فارس وأمره أن يطأ صدا. فقدم زياد بن الحارث الصدائى، فسأل عن ذلك البعث فأخبر. فقال: يا رسول الله، أنا وافدهم، فاردد الجيش وأنا لك بقومى. فردهم النبى ﷺ من قناه. وقدم الصدائيون بعد خمسة عشر يوما فأسلموا. واتخذ النبى ﷺ زياد مؤذنا مع بلال، وابن أم مكتوم، وسعد القرظ.
