سنان بن أبي سنان بن محصن الأسدي، حليف بني عبد شمس. وكان أسن من عمه عكاشة، هاجر هو وأبوه وشهد بدرا. توفي أبوه والنبي ﷺ يحاصر بني قريظة، وكان سنان من سادة الصحابة. قال الواقدي: هو أول من بايع تحت الشجرة. الطفيل بن الحارث بن المطلب، فيها في قول، وقد ذكر. وأخوه الحصين توفي بعده بأربعة أشهر، وقد شهد بدرا. قال رسول الله ﷺ: إنما بنو هاشم وبنو المطلب شيء واحد لم يفارقونا في جاهلية ولا إسلام (¬٢). ع:
