    ٨٢٩ - خلف بن هشام بن تغلب المقرئ قال المروذي: قلت له: إن خلفًا حكى: أن أسامة أتاك بالكوفة، فقال: كذب، لم يكن من ذا شيء، لم نرزق منه ما أقل كتابي عنه، ولكن كتابي عن ابن نمير كتاب صالح. "العلل" رواية المروذي وغيره (٢٤٥). قال أبو الحسن عبد الملك الميموني: قال رجل لأبي عبد اللَّه: ذهبت إلى خلف البزار أعظه، بلغني أنه حدث بحديث عن الأحوص، عن عبد اللَّه قال: ما خلق اللَّه شيئا أعظم. .، وذكر الحديث، فقال أبو عبد اللَّه: ما كان ينبغي له أن يحدث بهذا في هذِه الأيام -يريد زمن المحنة.
