مختصر طبقات الحنابلة" لمحمد جميل ابن شطي (ت ١٣٧٩ هـ). اختصر فيه "المنهج الأحمد" للعليمي، و"ذيله" لمحمد الغزي، ثم زاد عليهما تراجم لبعض المتأخرين. واختصر فيه ترجمة الإمام أحمد (ص ٧ - ١٧)، فمن النقاط التي تحدث فيها: قوة فهمه وغزارة علمه، مصنفاته، بعض ما أنشده من الشعر له ولغيره، هيئتهووصفه، وحسن أخلاقه وعشرته، محنته، وفاته، ما قيل فيه من الأشعار والمراثي. - "
