طبقات المفسرين" لمحمد بن علي الداودي (ت ٩٤٥ هـ). لم يذكر المصنف مقدمة يبين فيها منهجه في الكتاب، وهو تراجم مختصرة لأعلام المفسرين على حروف المعجم، وترجم فيه للإمام أحمد (١/ ٧١ - ٧٢)، فذكر نسبه، ومولده، وذكر بعض مصنفاته نقلًا عن ابن الجوزي من "المناقب" الباب السابع والعشرين في ذكر مصنفاته. ولم يذكر شيئًا عن المحنة. - "
