الفهرست" لمحمد النديم (ت ٣٨٠ هـ). جمع فيه المصنف كتب جميع الأمم، من العرب والعجم، الموجود منها بلغة العرب، وأخبار مصنفيها، وقسمه إلى عشر مقالات، وكل مقالة إلى عدة فنون، فذكر الإمام أحمد في الفن السادس، من المقالة السادسة، في أخبار فقهاء أصحاب الحديث والمحدثين وأسماء كتبهم (ص ٢٨٥). وذكر له من المصنفات: "العلل"، "التفسير"، "الناسخ والمنسوخ"، "الزهد"، "المسائل"، "الفضائل"، "الفرائض"، "المناسك"، "الإيمان"، "الأشربة"، "طاعة الرسول ﷺ"، "الرد على الجهمية"، "المسند". - "
