    ٢٥٨ - أحمد بن الحسن الصوفي (ت ٣٠٦ هـ) أحمد بن الحسن بن عبد الجبار بن راشد أبو عبد اللَّه البغدادي الصوفي الكبير، ولد في حدود سنة عشر ومائتين. وسمع في سنة سبع وعشرين ومائتين من علي بن الجعد، وابن معين، والهيثم بن خارجة، وأبي نصر التمار. حدث عنه: أبو الشيخ بن حيان، وأبو حاتم بن حبان، وأبو بكر الإسماعيلي. مات يوم الجمعة لخمس بقين من رجب سنة ست وثلاثمائة، وثقة الدارقطني، والخطيب، وكان صاحب حديث، وإتقان (٣).
