٢٥٦ - إسماعيل بن إسحاق، أبو محمد الرقي (ت ٣٠٥ هـ) إسماعيل بن إسحاق بن الحصين بن بنت معمر بن سليمان أبو محمد الرقي، سكن بغداد، وحدث بها عن عبد اللَّه بن معاوية الجمحي، وحكيم بن سيف الرقي. روى عنه: محمد بن العباس بن نجيح الحافظ، ومحمد بن المظفر.واختلف في موته فقيل: سنة خمس وثلاثمائة، في يوم ثلاثاء في ذي القعدة، وقيل: سنة ست وثلاثمائة.
