    ٢٤٣ - الجنيد بن محمد الخراز (ت ٢٩٨ هـ) شيخ الصوفية، الجنيد بن محمد بن الجنيد، أبو القاسم الخراز، القواريري.وقيل: كان أبوه قواريريا، وكان هو خرازا، وأصله من نهاوند إلا أن مولده ومنشأه ببغداد، وسمع بها الحديث، ولقي العلماء، واشتهر منهم بصحبة الحارث المحاسبي، وسري السقطي، ثم اشتغل بالعبادة، وأسند الحديث عن الحسن بن عرفة، ونقل عن الإمام أحمد أشياء. قال محمد بن المنادي: مات الجنيد ليلة النيروز، ودفن من الغد، وكان ذلك في سنة ثمان وتسعين ومائتين (١).
