٢٢٧ - محمد بن حبيب، أبو عبد اللَّه البزار (ت ٢٩١ هـ) روى عن شجاع بن مخلد، وروى عنه الحسن بن أبي العنبر، وغيره. قال الخلال: عنده عن أبي عبد اللَّه جزء مسائل حسان، ولم أكن عرفته قديما، فذكرها لي أبو الطيب المؤدب، فسمعتها منه عن محمد بن حبيب، وكانت عند أبي محمد بن أبي العنبر أيضًا عن محمد بن حبيب، وهو رجل معروف جليل من أصحاب أبي عبد اللَّه. وقال ابن المنادي: كتب، ولكنه كان يمتنع أن يحدث، مشهور بالستر. مات سنة إحدى وتسعين ومائتين (٢).
