    ١٧٤ - جعفر بن محمد بن المنادي (ت ٢٧٧ هـ) جعفر بن محمد بن عبيد اللَّه بن يزيد، ابن المنادي. سمع عاصم بن علي، وعلي بن بحر بن بري، ووهب بن بقية، وأبا بكر، وعثمان ابني أبي شيبة، ولوينا. وروى عنه ابنه أبو الحسين، وكان ثقة. قال ابنه: توفي أبي يوم السبت بين الظهر والعصر، ودفن يوم الأحد لإحدى عشرة ليلة بقيت من شعبان سنة سبع وسبعين ومائتين، وكتب الناس عنه في حياة جدي، وبعد ذلك (٣).
