١٢٢ - خطاب بن بشر البغدادي (ت ٢٦٤ هـ) خطاب بن بشر بن مطر، أبو عمر البغدادي المذكر، وهو أخو محمد بن بشر، وكان الأكبر. حدث عن عبد الصمد بن النعمان، ومن بعده. روى عنه أحمد بن محمد بن إسماعيل الأدمي، ومحمد بن مخلد الدوري، وذكر أنه مات في المحرم سنة أربع وستين ومائتين. وقال الخلال: كان رجلا صالحا يقص على الناس، وقد سمعت منه حديثا، وكنت إذا سمعت كلامه كأنه نذير قوم، وأحسب أنه كان آخر القصاص الذين يفرحبهم، ويعتد بقولهم، وكان عنده عن أبي عبد اللَّه مسائل حسان صالحة (١).
