    ١١٧ - محمد بن محمد بن أبي الورد (ت ٢٦٢ هـ) محمد بن محمد بن أبي الورد عيسى بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الصمد، أبو الحسن الزاهد، مولى سعيد بن العاص، المعروف بحبشي؛ لسمرته. صحب بشر بن الحارث، وغيره من الزهاد، وكان حسن الطريقة، مشهورا بالفضل، معروفا بالعبادة، حدث عنه عبد اللَّه بن محمد البغوي، ومن بعده. قال الدارقطني: يعد في الزهاد، له أحاديث وحكايات. وقال ابن المنادي: ما زال مشهورا بالورع والزهد، والفضل، والانكماش في العبادة، حتى فارق الدنيا. مات في رجب سنة ثلاث وستين ومائتين. وقيل: سنة اثنتين وستين (١).
