٦١ - هارون بن سفيان بن راشد المستملي (ت ٢٤٧ هـ) أبو سفيان المستملي، المعروف بمكحلة.حدث عن: محمد بن حرب الخولاني، وبقية بن الوليد، ويعلى بن الأشدق. وروى عنه: إبراهيم بن موسى الجوزي، وعبد اللَّه بن إسحاق المدائني، وأبو القاسم البغوي. قال هارون المستملي: قال لي أبو نعيم: يا هارون اطلب لنفسك صناعة غير الحديث، فكأنك بالحديث قد صار على مزبلة. وقال الخلال: رجل قديم مشهور ومعروف، عنده عن أبي عبد اللَّه مسائل كثيرة، مات ولم يحدث بها، وأخرج ابنه سفيان بخط أبيه عن أبي عبد اللَّه مسائل صالحة، وذكر أنه يخرج الباقي أيضًا. مات ببغدإد في شعبان سنة سبع وأربعين ومائتين (١).
