[٤٠٤] / أحمد بن صالح ابن السفاح ولد سنة [اثنتين وسبعين وسبعمائة بحلب] ثم قرأ القرآن، وصلّي به. واشتغل وأُسمِع علي الكَمَال ابن حبِيب، والشّهاب ابن المُرَحّل وغيرهما. وولي بحلب عدة وظائف منها: توقيع الدست، ونظر الجيش، وكتابة السرّ بصفد، وتوقيع السرّ بالقاهرة، ثم كتابة السرّ بحلب، ثم بالقاهرة. وكان قد انتهت إليه رئاسة الحبييّن بها ولأولاده. مات في تاسع عشر شهر رمضان. سنة خمس وثلاثين ثماني مائة.
