[١٩٧] محمد بن محمد ابن محمد بن يوسف بن علي بن يوسف بن عياش -بتحتانية ثقيلةومعجمة- يلقب بشمس الدين التاجر. ولد سنة ثلاث أو أربع وأربعين وسبعمائة. ١٢٠/م- وسمع "جزء ابن عرفة" على علي ابن العز عمر قال [أخبر] نا أحمد بن عبد الدائم بسنده. أجاز لي ومات في شهر رمضان سنة خمس عشرة وثمانمائة. وهو أخو المقرئ ابن أبي العباس أحمد ابن عياش وهذا الأسن. وكان يُضرب به المثل في الشح سامحه الله.
