١٠٠٨ - مَفْروق بن عَمرو الأصم بن قيس بن مَسْعود الشيباني ذكره ابن مندةَ (٧) في جُملة الصَّحابة مُستدلًا بما روى أبان بن تغلِب، عَنعكرمة، عن ابن عباس، عَن علي قال: تلا رسول الله ﷺ: ﴿قُلْ تَعَالوْا أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ﴾ الآية على بني شيبان، وفيهم: المثنى بن حارثة، ومَفْروق بن عَمرو، فقال مفروق: دعوتَ والله يا قرشي إلى مكارم الأخلاق ومَحاسن الأفعال، وقد أفِك قوم كذبوك وظاهروا عليك. انتهى. وليسَ فيه دلالة على إسلامه؛ ولهذا إن أبا نعيم (١) قال: لا أعرف له إسلامًا.
