٩٩٨ - مَعْقِل بن سنان بن مُظَهِّر الأشجعي ذكره غير واحد في جملة الصَّحابة، وأنه روى حَديث بروع بنت واشِق. وفي كتاب العسكري (٣): روى سُليمان بن أبي شيخ قال: قال أبو سعيد الرازي: ما خلق الله جل وعز مَعقل بن سِنان قط، ولا كانت -أيضًا- بروع بنت واشق، وحلف على ذلك. وكذا ذكره ابن أبي خيثمة في "تاريخه" (٣)، والله أعلم. وفي "شرح التصحيف" (٤) لأبي أحمد العسكري: بعضهم يذكر أن مَعْقل بن سنان الأشجعي قدم المدينة أيام عمر وأنه نفاه غربا لما سمع من يقول: أعوذُ بربِّ الناسِ من شرِّ مَعْقل ... إذا مَعْقلٌ وافى البقيع مُرَجَّلا
