    ٧٣٥ - عَلي بن عدي بن رَبيعة بن عَبْد العُزى بن عَبْد شمس ولَّاه عثمان حين ولي الخلافة مكة شرفها الله تعالى. قال أبو عُمر (٤): لا تصح له عِندي صحبة، ولا أعلم له روايةً؛ وإنما ذكرناه على ما شرطنا فيمن وُلد بمكة أو بالمدينة بينَ أبوين مسلمين على عهد رسول الله ﷺ.
