    ٤٥٦ - الصَلْت، أبو زِيَيد بن الصَلْتِ عِدَادُه فِي أهل الحجاز. ذكره ابن مندةَ فِي جُملة الصَّحابة (٣). وقال أبو نعيم (٤): مختلف فِي صحبْته؛ ثنا محمد بن إبراهيم: ثنا أحمد بن محمد الأبرش: ثنا ابن وَارةَ: ثنا عاصمُ بن يزيدَ العُمري، عن محمد بن المُغيث الجُرَشِي، عَن الصَلْت بن زييد بن الصلْت قال: سمعتُه يحدث، عن أبيه، عن جَده أن رسول الله ﷺ استعملَه على الخرْص (٥). وقال: لم نكتبه إلا من هَذا الوَجْه، وَهْو غريب. وقال ابن الجوزي (٦): مختلف فِي صحبته.
