٧٧٩٦ - العُنْصُري: مَخْلَصُ أبي القاسم حسن بن أحمد البلخي الشاعر (٦)، مات [سنة] ٤٣١، كان يلقب بملك الشعراء. له مهارة في الفنون، ولفضائله يدعى بالحكيم ويقدم على شعراء عصره عند السلطان محمود، وكان ينادمه ويصاحبه في أكثر الاجتماعات معه وقد اجتمع في بابه أزيد من أربعمائة شاعر، فإذا جاء أحدهم بقصيدة في مدحه عرضها أولاً على العنصري ثم على السلطان فحصل له الجاه الوافر والمال المتكاثر. وله قصيدة طويلة في غزواته، وديوانه مشتمل على ثلاثين ألف بيت. وكان يعجبه الفردوسي ونظمه. كذا في "تذكرة الأولياء" و"مجالس النفائس".
