    ١١١٢ - بكر بن جبلة بن وائل بن قيس بن بكر بن عامر بن عوف الكَلْبي (٥)، كان اسمه عبد عمرو فسمَّاه النبي ﷺ بكراً. ذكره ابن الكلبي ويقال إن عمرواً صنم كانوا يعظمونه. قال: فعبرنا عنده، فسمعت صوتاً يقول: يا بكر بن جبلة يعرفون محمدا وفيه قصة إسلامه وقد أشار المرزباني إلى قصته وأنشد له:أَتَيْتُ رَسولَ الله إذْجاءَ بالهُدَى ... فَأَصْبَحْتُ بَعْدَ الحَمْدِ لله مُؤْمِنا ذكره في "الإصابة".
