٥٥٠٩ - الأديب أبو عمرو يوسف بن هرون الكندي، المعروف بالرَّمَادي الشاعر القرطبي (٣)، المتوفى بها سنة ثلاث وأربعمائة عن ......... قال الحميدي: أظن أحد آبائه كان من أهل رَمَادة موضع بالمغرب وكان شاعرًا كثير الشعر، وكان كثير من مشايخ الأدب يقولون: فُتح الشعر بكندة وختم بكندة، يعنون امرء القيس والمتنبي والرَّمَادي، وكانا متعارضين، ثم ذكر له وقائع وأنه ألّف كتابًا في الطير وسُجن مدة. وروى عن أبي علي القالي كتاب "النوادر" من تأليفه عند دخوله الأندلس سنة ثلاثين وثلاثمائة ومدحه بقصيدة. واكتسب الأدب من شيخه يحيى بن هذيل الكفيف، ومات فقيرًا معدمًا. ذكره ابن خلّكان.
