٥٤١٠ - أبو يوسف يعقوب بن سليمان بن داود الإسفرايني الشافعي (٥)، المتوفى ببغداد في ذي القعدة سنة ثمان وثمانين وأربعمائة. تفقه على القاضي أبي الطّيب وكان حسن الخط، مليح الشعر وسمع الحديث من أبي الطيب وأبي طالب بن عيلان. وحدّث بـ "سنن النسائي" وكان فقيهًا فاضلًا. صنّف كتاب "المستظهري" في الإمامة و"شرائط الخلافة" وكتاب "محاسن الآداب" وله "سير الخلافة" و"بدائع الأخبار وروائع الأشعار". ذكره السبكي وغيره.
