٥٣٩٩ - الإمام الحافظ أبو عَوَانة يعقوب بن إسحق بن إبراهيم بن يزيد النَّيسابوري (٤)، الشافعي، صاحب "المسند"، المتوفى سنة ست عشرة وثلاثمائة وقيل ثلاث عشرة.أخذ عن الربيع والمزني وسمع بخراسان مسلم بن الحخاج وغيره وبالرَّيّ أبا زُرعة وأبا حاتم وبفارس يعقوب بن سفيان ويحيى بن خلّاد. وببغداد صالح بن أحمد. وبالبصرة والكوفة والحجاز ومصر والشام والجزيرة واليمن وأصبهان وجُرجان خلقًا، روى عنه أبو بكر الإسماعيلي وغيره، وكان أول من أدخل مذهب الشافعي وتصانيفه إلى إسفرايين. ذكره السبكي.
