٥٢٤٣ - الفقيه أبو الحسين هبة الله بن الحسن بن هبة الله بن عبد الله ابن عساكر الدمشقي الشافعي (٢)، المتوفى بها في شعبان سنة ثلاث وستين وخمسمائة عن خمس وسبعين سنة وهو أخو الحافظ (٣) وكان الأكبر. تفقّه على نصر الله المصّيصي وقرأ الخلاف على أسعد الميهني ببغداد والأصول على أبي الفتح بن برهان وسمع الحديث من جماعة بدمشق وبغداد ومكة، ثم درَّس بدمشق وأفتى وحدَّث وأملى، وكان معتنيًا بعلوم القرآن والنحو واللغة وله شعر كثير. روى عنه أخوه الحافظ وابن أخيه القاسم وطائفه. ذكره السبكي.
