٥٢١٢ - وليد بن عبيد [بن يحيى الطّائي] البُحْتُري (١) الشاعر المشهور. مدح كثيرًا من الخلفاء، أولهم المتوكل على الله، وكثيرًا من الأكابر والرؤساء. وأقام ببغداد زمانًا، ثم عاد إلى الشام. وتشبب في أشعاره بعلوة بنت زريقة، وزريقة أمها. ولد سنة ست أو سبع أو خمس أو اثنتين أو إحدى ومائتين، أو مائتين. وتوفي سنة أربع أو خمس أو ثلاث وثمانين ومائتين، والأول أصح، وكان موته بِمَنْبِج أو بحلب، والأول أصح].
