٤٩٦١ - الإمام أبو الحُسين مُسلم بن الحَجَّاج بن مُسلم بن ورد بن كوشاذ القُشيري نسبًا النيسابوري وطنًا (٧)، أحد أعلام أئمة الدنيا، المتوفى بها بخمس بقين من رجب سنة ٢٦١ إحدى وستين ومائتين وهو ابن خمس وخمسين سنة وله سوى "الصحيح" كتاب "المسند الكبير" على أسماء الرجال و"الجامع الكبير" على الأبواب وكتاب "العلل" وكتاب "أوهامالمحدّثين" وكتاب "التمييز" و"طبقات التابعين" وكتاب "المخضرمين" وكتاب "من ليس له إلا راوٍ واحد".
