٤٨٣٢ - الحافظ المتقن شمس الدين أبو العَلاَء محمود بن أبي بكر الكلاباذي البخاري الحنفي (٣)، المتوفى بدمشق في ربيع الأول سنة سبعمائة، عن ست وخمسين سنة. سمع ببخارى وقدم بغداد فأقام بها يُسَمِّع وبصنِّف وبكتب، ثم رحل إلى دمشق والقاهرة وسمع بهما من أصحاب ابن طبرزد وحدَّث وجمع، له "مشيخة" وشيوخه تزيد على السبعمائة. وكان واسع الرِّحلة، جمَّ الفضائل، مليح الكتابة، عارفاً بالحديث والرجال والفرائض، جمع كتاباً في مشتبه النسبة وصنَّف "ضوء السراج" في "شرح السراجيه" وهو تأليف محرّر جليل القدر. سمع منه الحافظ المِزِّي وابن سَيِّد الناس وأبو حَيَّان والبِرْزَالي وكان طَيِّبَ الأخلاق. ذكره تقي الدين.
