٤٧٢٣ - الإمام أبو عبد الله محمد بن نصر المروزي الشافعي (٣)، المتوفى بسمرقند سنة أربع وتسعين ومائتين، عن اثنتين وتسعين سنة. سمع هشام بن عَمَّار والربيع بن سليمان ويونس بن عبد الأعلى وخلقاً. وروى عنه أبو حامد بن الشّرقي وغيره. قال الحاكم: هو الفقيه العابد إمام أهل الحديث في عصره. وقال الخطيب: كان من أعلم الناس باختلاف الصحابة ومن بعدهم وصنَّف كتباً ضمّنها الآثار والفقه، منها كتاب فيما خالف فيه أبو حنيفة عليا عبد الله و"كتاب القسامة" وخالف في مسائل لمذهب الشافعي لأنه بمنزلة ابن خزيمة والمزني وأبو نور. ذكره السبكي.
