٤٥٥٣ - غياث الدين محمد بن محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن علي بن حَمَّاد بن ثابت الواسطي ثم البغدادي العَاقُولي الشافعي (١)، المتوفى سنة ثمان وتسعين وسبعمائة، عن ست وستين سنة. قال ابن حجر: برع في الفقه والأدب والعربية وشارك في الفنون وانتهت إليه رئاسة المذهب ودرس بالمستنصرية وسمع من السِّرَاج القَزْويني وأجاز له الميدومي وغيره وكان شيخ الحديث، ديّنًا، حسن الشكل والأخلاق، حدَّث بمكة والمدينة والشام وصنّف "شرح المصابيح " و "شرح منهاج الأصول"، و "شرح الغاية القصوى". ذكره السيوطي.
