٤٥١٢ - العالم الكبير والوزير النّحرير أبو الفضل محمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الله بن عبد المجيد بن إسماعيل المروزي الحنفي، المعروف بالحاكم الشهيد (٧)، صاحب "الكافي" و"المقنع" والذي قتل شهيدًا في ربيع الآخر سنة أربع وثلاثين وثلاثمائة بمرو وعمره .... ولي قضاء بخارى، ثم ولاّه الأمير الحميد الساماني وزارته. سمع الحديث كثيرًا بخراسان والعراق وبغداد ومصر وصنّف الكثير فأحسن وسمع منه مشايخ خراسان وكان شيخ الحنفية في زمانه نهمة في العلم والدِّين. من "الجواهر".
