٤٤٩٦ - الإمام أبو الحسن محمد بن المبارك بن محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن الخَلِّ الشافعي (٢)، المتوفى في محرم سنة اثنتين وخمسين وخمسمائة، عن خمس وسبعين سنة. تفقه على فخر الإسلام الشّاشي وقرأ عليه الخلاف والجدل ودرّس بعد وفاته وكان إمامًا كبيرًا له اليد الباسطة في النظر والخلاف وكان في الوَرَعِ والزّهد في غاية وصنَّف كتاب "التوجيه في شرح التنبيه" في مجلدتين وحَدّث عن جماعة وخَرَّج له أبو الرِّضا أحمد بن طارق "مشيخة" عن كل شيخ حديث واحد بالسَّمَاع. وكان ابن الخلّ بديع الخط وكانوا يستفتونه لكتابته لا لحاجتهم. ذكره السُّبْكي.
