٤٤٣٧ - الشيخ أبو بكر محمد بن عمر بن عبد العزيز بن إبراهيم بن عيسى، المعروف بابن القُوطية القُرطبي النحوي (٤)، المتوفى بها في ربيع الأول سنة سبع وستين وثلاثمائة.كان مولى عمر بن عبد العزيز، والقُوطية أم إبراهيم. أصله من إشبيلية وكان إمامًا في اللغة والعربية، حافظًا لهما، مقدمًا فيهما على أهل عصره. سمع من قاسم بن أصبغ وابن الوليد الأعرج وخلائق. وكان حافظًا لأخبار الأندلس وطال عمره، فسمع منه طبقة بعد طبقة وصنَّف " تصاريف الأفعال" "المقصور والممدود" وغير ذلك. ذكره السبكي. أقول: وقوطية معرب غوت وهو اسم لطائفة قديمة من سكان أندلس (١).
