٤٣٧١ - أبو عبد الله وأبو سعيد محمد بن علي بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن حَمْدَان الجاواني العراقي الشافعي (٢)، المتوفى سنة [إحدى وستين وخمسمائة] ومولده سنة ثمان وستين وأربعمائة. تفقه ببغداد على الغزالي والشاشي والكِيَا، وبرع وتميّز وسمع من أبي عبد الله الحميدي وقرأ "المقامات" على مؤلفها الحريري. وله "شرح المقامات" و"عيوب الشعر" و"الفرق بين الراء والعين" وحدَّث بكتاب "إلجام العوام" للغزالي. وجاوان: قبيلة من الأكراد سكنوا الحلة. ذكره السبكي.
