٤٣٦١ - الشيخ الإمام القُدوة أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي بن الحسن بن بغير الحكيم التِّرمذي المؤذن (١)، المتوفى سنة ٢٥٥ خمس وخمسين ومائتين. قال أبو عبد الرحمن السلمي: نفوه من ترمذ وشهدوا عليه بالكفر في ذلك، بسبب تصنيفه كتاب "ختم الولاية" وكتاب "علل الشريف". وكان يقول إن للأولياء خاتمًا كما أن للأنبياء خاتمًا وإن الولاية أفضل من النبوة واحتج بقوله ﷺ: يغبطهم النبيون والشهداء، فجاء إلى بلخ فقابلوه بالقبول ثم اعتذر السلمي عنه ببعد فهم الفاهمين. قال السبكي: ولعل الأمر كما زعم وإلا فما تظن بمسلم أنه يفضل الأولياء على الأنبياء. انتهى
