٤٢٨٢ - الإمام أبو الفتح محمد بن عبد الكريم بن أحمد الشَّهرستاني الشافعي (١)، المتوفى سنة ثمان وأربعين وخمسمائة، عن تسع وستين سنة. وهو إمام، مبرّز، متقن، عارف بعلم الكلام معرفة تامة، صنَّف كتاب "الملل والنّحل" وكتاب "نهاية الإقدام في علم الكلام". ورد بغداد سنة ٥١٠ وأقام بها ثلاث سنين، وكان يعظ بها ويظهر له قبول عند الخواص والعوام. روى عنه ابن السَّمْعَاني، وسمع أبا الحسن علي بن أحمد ابن المديني وغيره. ذكره ابن السبكي.
