٤١٢٠ - الإمام الحافظ جمال الدين أبو عبد الله محمد بن سعيد بن يحيى بن علي بن الحجاج بن محمد الدّبيثي الواسطي الشافعي (٤)، مصنّف "تاريخ واسط" و"الأربعين"، المتوفى سنة سبع وثلاثين وستمائة، عن تسع وسبعين سنة. سمع بواسط وبغداد والحجاز والموصل وصنًف "ذيلاً" على "ذيل ابن السمعاني" و"تاريخ بغداد". قال ابن النجار: هو أحد الحفّاظ المكثرين، ما رأت عيناي مثله في حفظ التواريخ والسّير وأيام الناس. ذكره السبكي.
