٤٠٠٩ - أبو جعفر محمد بن حسن بن علي الطوسي الشافعي، فقيه الشيعة (٥)، المتوفى بالكوفة سنة ستين وأربعمائة. قدم بغداد وتفقه على مذهب الشافعي وقرأ الأصول والكلام على محمد بن محمد بن النّعمان، المعروف بالمفيد، فقيه الإمامية، وحدّث عن هلال الحفَّار. روى عنه ابنه الحسن وصنَّف "تفسير القرآن" وأملا أحاديث وحكايات تشتمل على مجلدين. وقد أحرقت كتبه عدة نُوب بمحضر من الناس. ذكره السبكي.
