٤٠٠٣ - شمس الدين أبو عبد الله محمد بن الحسن بن سِبَاع بن أبي بكر المصري ثم الدمشقي، المعروف بابن الصَّائغ الجذامي النحوي الأديب (٣)، المتوفى في شعبان سنة عشرين وسبعمائة عن خمس وسبعين [سنة]. قال ابن حجر: تعانى الأدب وصنف "شرح الدّريدية" و"شرح الملحة" و"مختصر الصحاح" و"المقامة الشهابية" وشرحها وسمع الحديث من إسمعيل بن أبي اليسر وبرع في النظم والنثر وكان له حانوت يعمل صنعة الصياغة ويقرئ فيه. سمع منه البرزالي والذهبي وغيرهما وله قصيدة نحو ألفي بيت في الصنائع والفنون. وذكره السبكي في "معجمه" وقال: كان شيخاً فاضلاً ذكره. السيوطي في "النحاة".
